  3. Diversity at school • Kinds of pupils with special educational needs. There are about 190 pupils aged between 3 and 12 years old. Around 15% of them show some kind of special educational needs (SEN), this may be caused because of: • Psychiatry problems: Down syndrome and epilepsy. • Belonging to one parent families and/or wit low incomes and/or other difficulties.

  4. Diversity at school • Immigration. Specially from arabic countries (10 pupils), american countries (5) and East countries (5). • Following a very slow learning rhythm and lower according to their age. • Frequent absence (few cases).

  5. Diversity at school • Resources. Human resources: • There are 13 teachers. Among them there are a support teacher and four specialist teachers: English, Music, Gymnastics and Special Education.

  7. Diversity at school Other institutions: • Estel, Special Education Centre, with which we have two pupils of shared school. • Mothers and Fathers Association of school.

Diversity at school Methodical resources: • Flexible groups for language subject from P-5 to C.I.-2 students (5-7 years old). • Small groups for language and mathematics subjects to all primary school. Pupils are served by the tutor teacher, the support teacher and/or the Special Education teacher (according to the needs). • Shared school.

  9. Diversity at school Economical helps: From National Government and Catalan Government, for books and school materials, for school lunch. • Materials that are used: • Books, notebooks and dictionaries. • Teaching toys. • Computer programmes.
