Project Information Improving Teaching Methods in Mathematics Title Duration 6 months (from March 15 – September 15, 2012 Target Location Provincial Institute for Teacher Education (PITE) Target Group Mathematics Teacher Educator at PITE, Quetta.
Overall Goal To enhance the quality of mathematics education in primary education in Balochistan province
Specific Objective To improve the teaching methods of mathematics teacher educators at the Provincial Institute for Teacher Education (PITE) through lesson study approach

Activities • Output 1 • Submission of concept paper to the Director of PITE for approval of the training • Preparation of Technical and Financial proposal for the training • Output 2 • Selection of appropriate materials from the JICA resource materials for the training • Translation of the Resource Materials in National Language of Pakistan (Urdu) • Printing of the Resource Materials • Output 3 • Preparation of Time Table for the training • Nomination of Mathematics Teacher Educators for the training • Issuance of the nomination orders of the Mathematics Teacher Educators. • Output 4 • Conducting of Training • Output 5 • Preparation of Report of the training • Submission of Report to the Director of PITE and JICA office
