Years between entry and graduation • 46% of graduates transferred to another college or university – a little over 500 students • Of graduates whose goal it was to transfer, 85% transferred • In 2012, more graduates wanted to transfer verses improve job skills or prepare for a new job • 46% of graduates used Transfer Office services • Majority of graduates transfer locally, 13% of graduates transferred out of state
Transfer is Key • We have over 60 agreements with area colleges and universities, including: • Dual Admission (16) • Core-to-Core (8) • Program-to-Program (25 schools, 170) • Guaranteed Admission (4) • Most of our articulations are with private institutions • Transfer services at six of our campuses
Virtual Transfer Advisor Idea • We needed an on-line advising system • It had to be simple, accurate, and easy for students to use • It needed to be sophisticated enough to accommodate all types of agreements; simple and complex ones • AcademyOne
TransferCheck • 11,618 visits by 2,295 students • The highest percentage of visits -Business and CIS majors • 53% earned at least 30 credits while 47% earned less than 30 credits • 69% enrolled in transfer programs
TransferCheck Facts • Over 44,000 page visits; a combination of current and prospective students • On average, each student made 5 repeated visits • On average, students spent a little over 2 minutes on TC • Students were very likely to search for given major at more than one institution • Students visited TC during peak registration periods
