  1. Central Narcotics Bureau • The Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) was established in 1971 as the primary drug enforcement agency.

  2. CNB 4 main strategies: • Preventive Drug Education • Rigorous Enforcement • Treatment and Rehabilitation for addicts • Aftercare and Continued Rehabilitation for ex-addicts to reintegrate them into society.

  3. Anti-drug strategy • Strict law, vigorous enforcement and a high profile drug prevention programme aimed zero tolerance for drug abuse. • Effective law enforcement - the law allows for drug abusers to be sent immediately to drug rehabilitation centres for treatment. • The law also provides for appropriate punishment to be meted out to recalcitrant abusers. • In addition, the law provides for harsh deterrent penalties for drug traffickers.

  7. Ecstasy • Tablets/pills containing MDMA, MDEA and MDA.

  8. Heroin • Also known as white, smack, junk, powder, putih, medicine, ubat • Death for more than 15 grams
