Coats! • There is a teacher here at the high school that is collecting used, clean coats to donate to other students who need them or to homeless shelters • If you have a winter coat that doesn’t fit or you are not using, you can drop it by Building 6, Room 106 by January 29th • This drive is almost over, so this is just an informal informational slide about a good cause, if anyone would choose to do it on their own.
PAT: The LSSC Potluck • Since our club has received over $300 in gift certificates this year, we have decided that we will not be able to sell all of these at Relay. • Instead, we are going to have a potluck dinner near the end of March where we will hold a silent auction for most of the gift certificates. • This will be our social for March, and is going to be a lot of fun!!!!!! It will probably be in the West Cafeteria. • Marissa is going to plan this, so we will hear more from her in the next few meetings. (Including invitations and the date, etc.)
Relay for Life Information! • Relay for Life (RFL) is:- An event to raise money for breast cancer awareness and breast cancer research, run by the American Cancer Society- A benefit walk where teams raise money beforehand and then spend one full night selling goods to raise more money and walk all night as symbolism that “cancer never sleeps” • Recap:-This year’s Relay theme is Decades for a Cure- You can not come if you don’t raise your $100- Our Relay is called DOWNTOWN Sarasota. There are over 400 Relays in Florida, and at least 5 in the Sarasota/Bradenton area, so don’t get confused.

This should be a very interesting year for costumes!-Please check out our Relay team’s website (&SIGN-UP): http://main.acsevents.org/goto/lssc • Next meeting:We will be having another fundraiser, please be here as soon as possible so we can split into groups!
