Classification The Orange bellied Parrot is a small endangered bird that lives in Australian forests
Description • The male has a bright grass green yellowish throat also it has a bright yellow under tail. Females have duller colours, smaller orange patch also just bigger than a budgie. They have bright blue wings also they have a black bill also female and male are slightly different.
Life cycle The Orange Bellied Parrot nests in tree hollows also the female lays eggs 2 days a part. The female sits on eggs for ten days also the babies leave nest after four weeks
Habitat The Orange Bellied Parrot lives in coastal areas also in low scrub lands. They breed in Tasmanian forests
Feeding • The Orange Bellied parrot eats on the ground also they eat flowers, fruit, seeds and berries in coastal areas
Endangered • The Orange Bellied Parrot is endangered because of land clearing and people cutting down trees
