  3. CEN/ISSS Workshop on Learning Technologies, 10-11 December 2002, Copenhagen, Denmark Introduction • To provide interoperability specifications for a range of information exchange, initially aimed at school systems but also applicable in a wider lifelong learning context. This work item will support the outputs of the OASIS (Open Architecture and Schools in Society) project that enable different applications and systems to share information. • The work item will focus on collaborating with the OASIS partners in ensuring that the specifications they produce do not duplicate international standards activity, are appropriate for a broader audience and are suitable for e-Europe standardization. Interoperability frameworks for exchange of information between diverse management systems

  21. Current State Two meetings were held with OASIS partners: 1.- Brussels, January 17th 2003 2.- Madrid, March 21st 2003 Interoperability frameworks for exchange of information between diverse management systems

  22. OASIS 1.- Brussels, January 17th 2003 Attending people from: EUN, UPM, SUN, Apple, Academie de Grenoble, Spanish Ministry of Education, CEN/ISSS WS-LT Interoperability frameworks for exchange of information between diverse management systems

  23. OASIS 1.- Brussels, January 17th 2003 OASIS is trying to get the data from 4 ministries and compare with SIF. Questionnaire was also sent out but not much response. Correlating SIF, IMS and ministries’ (Spain, France, Ireland & Sweden) data models to ensure that there is a common set of data. Interoperability frameworks for exchange of information between diverse management systems

  24. OASIS 1.- Brussels, January 17th 2003 OASIS Workpackage 2 is producing a set of docs which could form the basis for our CWAs. OASIS is using XML to define their data model – CEN/ISSS might prefer to produce a conceptual model – working back from the binding. Interoperability frameworks for exchange of information between diverse management systems

  25. OASIS 2.- Madrid, March 21st 2003 Attending: Agustín Quintana (Project Manager) Agustín Muñoz (Spanish MoE) Mariano Sanz (EUN, WP2 leader) Marta Permanes (Spanish MoE) Niall Sclater (CEN/ISSS WS-LT) Luis Anido-Rifón (CEN/ISSS WS-LT) Interoperability frameworks for exchange of information between diverse management systems

  26.
