2. Being Motivated & Inspired is Key • You may face obstacles in reaching your goals, but you must learn ways to overcome them. • When stressful times occur, like taking exams, be aware of your abilities, skills, identify your strengths and weaknesses, search for possible alternative solutions, and never give up!!

3. Be Persistent • You must be able to demonstrate how making an effort and being persistent can positively affect learning. How will you ever know what your full potential may be or is if you never try?

4. Have a positive attitude!! Did you know that having a negative attitude about doing your homework, completing assignments, or about school in general will lead to a lack of achievement and success in accomplishing any educational goals? You want a high school diploma, but you don’t want to put in hard work. You want to have good grades, but you don’t want to do your homework. You expect to do well in your classes, but you don’t pay attention or stay focused. You want to function properly in class, but you chose to stay up all night long. You say you care about receiving a decent education, but you show no interest in putting forth the effort. • Staying positive is crucial to achieving academic success. You must care enough about your education to achieve individual potential and develop a better awareness of how beneficial your education really is. You must develop a positive attitude towards yourself as a unique and worthy person in order to be positive about school as well. Going the extra mile in school even when you don’t really feel up to it is worth the travel along the way. Possessions can be taken away from you, but your education is something of value for a lifetime.

5. Thumbs Up!!!! Positive attitudes = positive changes = positive results= positive rewards

6. Making an effort to just try to do your best at all times. How can you achieve successful learning?

7. Learn to identify and express your feelings in a positive manner • If you become frustrated about your learning process, it’s okay because being overwhelmed will occur at times in your life. However, ask for help when needed. Seek assistance for your educational well-being. Let someone know how you feel and what you are struggling with.

Success = Hard Work Success does not come easy Hard work really does pay off • You must develop good study habits • You must receive proper sleep • You must identify your learning style and reduce distractions • You must keep an open-mind and positive attitude • You must put forth an effort to try and do your best regardless of the obstacles you may face • You must plan and prepare ahead of time and not cram to study for exams/tests • You must be attentive and focused
