NEW MAGAZINE ADVERTISING RATES SOUTH AFRICA A new magazine online magazine, https://www.estatelife.co.za/estate-magazine-advertising-rates/ , has been launched to fill the gap for a publication that addresses the needs, interests and challenges common to residents in planned developments. Published by Estate Life Publishing (Pty) Ltd, the magazine is currently distributed to more than 80 000 residents in 1300 gated communities and sectional title complexes in South Africa’s major metropolitan centres: Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Easter London and Durban, as well as Knysna. Estate living in South Africa has seen exponential growth in recent years. In fact, according to recent market research by New World Health, the only country with more residential estates than South Africa is the USA. The rise in sectional title developments has also shown strong growth. Maggie van der Bilt, editor of Estate Life notes: “Living in a community housing scheme such as a gated community or sectional title development brings with it many advantages, a major one being increased security. Shared amenities such as parks, clubhouses, recreational activities and often, the presence of schools in gated communities are also major drawcards. Rules and obligations “Often overlooked, however, is that living in a residential community scheme also comes with rules and obligations, many of which are often not given any attention when deciding to invest in one. “Estate Life addresses this gap, with articles that facilitate deeper understanding of HOAs and body corporates, and the rights and duties of residents within these.” Each month, Estate Life includes articles written by experts will cover topics including, among others: • The difference between sectional title developments and HOAs •Their rights and duties as members of a sectional title development or HOA •The purpose and importance of levies •The duties of trustees and boards of directors •The role of managing agents •The purpose and limitations of rules •Neighbour law and conflict management (noise, pets etc), •The impact of social media platforms, and much more. “An accurate understanding of these topics among residents serves to create a more harmonious environment between management and residents, as well as between residents themselves. “In a nutshell, this encapsulates our overarching purpose,” says van der Bilt. “Additional articles on security, home improvements, gardens, lifestyle, pets and more, add interest to the magazine to make it not only educational, but also a practical and enjoyable read. Endorsement for Estate Life EstateMate, developers of a mobile property management app, is using Estate Life to distribute the magazine, under EstateMate’s own branding, to its customer base.
EstateMate’s Nicole Hiestermann comments: “Estate Life’s informative and insightful publication aligns well with EstateMate’s core business values. “EstateMate aims to keep all residents in a community informed, updated and connected. The Estate Life publication addresses the needs, interests and challenges of residents in communities and this is a great addition to the current EstateMate offering.” The publication is also distributed under the branding of Trafalgar Property Management, one of South Africa’s largest property management companies.
