REGISTRATION • Open to all Swimmers • ** Will serve as TRYOUT for future international competitions to be held in • Australia, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Phuket • ** Will serve as the TRYOUT for the 28th SUMMER UNIVERSIADE 2015 to be held in • Gwangju, Korea • NOTE: • MUST JOIN THREE (3) PSL LEG SERIES TO QUALIFY • Deadline for submission of Entries: • January 19, 2014 (Sunday) at 7:00 P.M. • Late entries will not be accepted. • Entry Fees Php 350.00 • Registration and payment of entry fees must be settled before the meet starts. • Verifiable times must be submitted. • Swimmers with no seed times submitted will be declared NT and be placed in the early heats. • All entries must be submitted using the official entry form with Swimmer’s name (print legibly), birthday, event no., seed time, contact nos. and duly signed by their coaches or by using Team Manager.
MEET INFORMATION • VENUE Rizal Memorial Swim Complex • Malate, Manila • FACILITIES 50-meter, 8-lane pool with shower, bath and changing rooms • TIME All participating teams are requested to be at • the venue by 6:30 A.M. • Open lanes for warm-up to all participants • 6:30-7:45 Warm-up for all teams • 7:00-7:45 Registration of Teams • 7:45-8:00 Coaches’ Meeting • 8:00-8:20 Opening Program/Parade • 8:30 Start of the Meet • AGE CATEGORIES: 10 & under years old • 11 & over years old • Results will be by AGE BAND. Starting age: • 5&under, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17&over • AGE RECKONING: • Age as of : JANUARY 31, 2014 • Coaches must make sure all ages entered are true and correct. It is the Team Coaches’ responsibility to check the correctness of their swimmer’s birth date and ages.
RULES • Timed Finals. • Meet rules apply. • Verification of swimmers’ age. • Host may ask the team to produce birth certificates. • NOTE: In case the date of Registration on birth certificate is dated more than one (1) year after the date of birth, swimmer MUST submit the following additional documentation. • Certification of TRUE AGE from organizer’s appointed dentist or physician or whichever body the organizer so decides to appoint at the time the certification may be needed. • NOTE: Organizer is not responsible for expenses incurred from acquiring said documents. Expenses to be shouldered by the parents/club of the said swimmer. • PROTEST/S must be in writing along with a protest fee of Php 2,000.00. Protests must be filed within 30 minutes after posting of the results. If found valid, the protest fee will be returned by the Protest Committee. Any protest filed beyond the said time frame will not be entertained. Only the head coach / team manager may file the protest. The Technical Jury will be composed of five (5) members. • The Team MUST PAY all the swimmers who are in the official program of the meet, whether they swim or not.
AWARDS • Medals for GOLD, SILVER and BRONZE shall be awarded to the top three finishers for Boys and Girls. • Most Outstanding Trophies will be awarded for the Most Outstanding Swimmers in each Age Band Category for both Boys and Girls. • In case of a tie, the number of medals starting with Gold, Silver and Bronze will be taken into account. • Trophies shall be awarded to the Over-All Champion, the 1st Runner-up and 2nd Runner-up (BASED ON THE COMBINED POINTS FOR BOYS AND GIRLS EVENTS) • ALL AWARDEES MUST WEAR CLUB/TEAM UNIFORMS DURING AWARDING CEREMONY.
SAFETY GUIDELINES • Swimmers Responsibilities: • All swimmers without a registered coach must inform the host to observe them at the meet, and/or their coaches, should arrange, prior to their arrival at the meet, for a registered coach to observe them during the warm-up, competition and warm-down. • Coaches Responsibilities: • Coaches shall instruct their swimmers regarding safety guidelines and warm-up procedures as they apply to conduct at meets and practice. • Coaches shall stand near the starting end of the pool when starting swimmers on sprint and pace work. • Coaches shall actively supervise their swimmers throughout the warm-up session. • Coaches shall maintain as much contact with their swimmers as possible, both verbal and visual, throughout the warm-up period.
