General Remarks Project duration = 36 months Start date: 01/10/2005 End-date: 30/09/2008 7 Tasks in Total implemented by 6 partners
Task 1: Task management & reporting to the EC • Action 1:Task Management • NTUA is legally & financially responsible for the project implementation & the management of the tasks • All partners shall participate in the coordination group • Action 2: Reporting to the EC • NTUA is responsible for submitting reports to the EC • Action 3: Project Meetings • 3 in Greece & 3 in Cyprus + kick-off (NTUA) • Action 4: Monitoring & Evaluation • All partners through the co-ordination group • NTUA & EPTA shall develop the performance indicators • Action 5:Advisory Board • EPTA and UCY are responsible for the organisation and the co-ordination of the Advisory Board in each country.
Task 2: Analysis and Documentation of the Construction Sector in Greece, Cyprus & EU level • Action 1:Analysis of the construction sector in Greece & Cyprus • Co-ordinated & implemented by EPTA and EDRASIS (Greece) and by CYBARCO and ETEK (Cyprus) • Action 2:Environmental Impact Assessment from the construction activities • Implemented by EPTA
Task 3: LCA in two construction activities • Action 1: Data collection for the two construction categories • EDRASIS & CYBARCO shall provide data • NTUA responsible for the co-ordination • Action 2:Conduction of a LCA study • NTUA is responsible
Task 4: Development of eco-design criteria • Action 1: General assessment of eco-design strategies • EPTA is responsible • Action 2: • Creation of an eco-design matrix and an eco-design checklist • NTUA is responsible • Action 3:Development of eco-design criteria • UCY responsible
Task 5: Application of eco-design criteria in construction • Action 1: Software production for the evaluation of the environmental performance of construction works • NTUA is responsible for subcontracting the software design • Action 2:Application of the software to the construction projects in the companies • EDRASIS & CYBARCO shall apply the software tool to their construction projects • Comparison of their environmental performance • Action 3:Drafting National Institutional Arrangements • Participation of all partners
Task 6: Online Database for the Construction Industry • Action 1:General Specifications and functional requirements • UCY is responsible • Action 2:Web-site structure design and implementation • NTUA & UCY • Action 3:Creation and Operation of the database • NTUA shall sub-contract the data-base development • UCY responsible for the continuous up-grading of the data-base
Task 7:Dissemination Activities • Action 1:Web-site design & development • NTUA is responsible; all partners shall provide input for updating the web-page • Action 2:Organization of a national annual competition for ‘sustainable construction project’ • EPTA & UCY • Action 3a:Organization of one-day informational events • EDRASIS and CYBARCO • Action 3b: Final Conference Organization • Co-ordination by NTUA & EDRASIS with all partners involved • Action 4:Newsletters • Template development by EPTA • NTUA responsible for their production • All partners involved in their distribution • Action 5:Advertisement Campaign • All partners involved
