We are a Title I School • What is Title I? Provides financial assistance to schools to meet the needs of educationally at-risk students. How are Title I Schools identified? A school must have 40% or more of its students to qualify for free or reduced lunches.
How does Title I help my child? Provides assistance beyond the regular ed. classroom • Instructional activities Technology Purchase- 60 I-Pads 60 netbooks 4 Mac Books 25 Leapsters 3 Mimio Boards Books and manipulative for classrooms
How does Title I help my child? • Parental involvement Parent Involvement Coordinator Resources for our Parent Involvement Room Parent University- Monthly activities held for parents and families that focus on interactive games Parent University Graduation • Increase staff Instructional Coach Computer lab teacher
How does Title I help my child? • Improve curriculum Professional Learning Study Island- Morning Tutoring (3-5) Reading A-Z (K-2) IXL Language (2 and 3) Reading Counts DGP- Daily Grammar Practice
