Papa • Deceiving – He is cheating on Lola’s mother and is going to divorce her • Ambiguous – Lola believed her entire life that this man was her father when he wasn’t as her revealed • Calm – When Lola robbed the bank he stayed relaxed and attempted to talk it out with her • He is a flat character because he doesn’t really develop after every run • This character wants to get rid of his current family and begin a new one with his colleague
Manni • Forgetful – Manni forgot the 100,000 marks on a train • Emotional – Each time he attempted a robbery he showed various emotions such as anger and nervousness • Stupid – Manni showed his stupidity when he recklessly robbed the store in the first run • Manni is a round character because he went from getting run over by an ambulance to finding the homeless man with the money and getting it back • His motivation is to save his own life as he knows the the crime boss will kill him instantly if he finds out the money is missing
Frau Jäger • Foolish – She is the mistress of a man with a family • Ignorant – She is having a baby with a man who already has a family • Irascible – She gets angry each run when Lola comes • She is a flat character because she doesn’t develop during the course of the movie • This character’s motives are to marry Lola’s father and start a family with him
Norbert von Au • Lucky – This is the homeless man that came across the 100,000 marks • Mysterious – Not much is revealed about this man during the movie • Ambitious – He purchased a blazer as soon as he found the marks showing his ambition to succeed • He is a flat character because he is simple and doesn’t develop throughout the movie • He’s motive is to keep the money and use it to become successful
Lola • Athletic - Most of the movie was her running • Aggressive - Lola often screamed and raised her voice. She also robbed her “Father’s” bank • Persistent – Over and over again Lola tried her best to get the cash to help her boyfriend • Round character – Lola is a round character because her character develops throughout the movie • Protagonist – Lola is the character the movie is centered around and named after • Lola’s motivation is to save her boyfriend from his crime boss
