ProgramOverview • 6-day welcome-to-Australia Orientation Program in Cairns • 8-week (unpaid) internship in Sydney - Monday through Thursday - 9am till 5pm - free time Friday-Sunday • 3-credits of BUAD 364, internship-for-credit
The Internship • Placements arranged by our partner, Phi Beta Dingo, Ltd. www.phibetadingo.com • Those accepted into the program will be interviewed in the spring to determine best placement • Placement possibilities include - US Multinationals - Australian firms - Government Agencies - Nonprofits

Internships Available for All Business Majors • Preference given toBUAD majors - marketing, management, operations, and international business • But placements in accounting, MIS, economics, and finance are plentiful • Non-business majors are also invited to apply
6-day Welcome Orientation: Cairns • 5 nights in backpacker hotel • Day trip to Great Barrier Reef • Visit to Crocodile Farm • Visit with Royal Flying Doctors • Other activities, at an additional • cost
2-Day Orientation: Sydney • Day 1 • Group flight to Sydney • Welcome lunch in • the city • Walking tour • Welcome Dinner at • the beach • Day 2 • “Get Ready for Work” Day • Map out route to work • Prepare work clothes • Prepare work documents
8-Week Internship: Sydney • Internship Monday – Thursday • BUAD 364 assignments biweekly plus final project • “On your own” Friday-Sunday - optional excursions available for an additional cost
10-Week BUAD 364: Sydney & Home • Course requirements include: - one group predeparture meeting - one individual predeparture meeting - 120 hours at the internship site - email submission of biweekly reflective journal entries - comprehensive final project, tailored to fit your background and particular internship placement, (due approximately two weeks after you return)
On-the-Ground Support Services in Sydney: Phi Beta Dingo • Phi Beta Dingo staff on-call 24-7 • Extra support during the first week of internship • Organize sign-ups for weekend excursions • 4th of July BBQ at midpoint of internship • Farewell Dinner
Accommodations in Sydney No, you won’t be staying in a castle! This is the Government House! • Two bedroom/ two bathroom apartment, shared by 4-5 students • Group stays in same apt building • Fully equipped kitchen, laundry in each apt. • Internet available, for an additional cost • Easy access to Public Transportation
