  3. Traditions Club is the home of the 2009 Men’s Golf National Champions.This internship provides hands on experience in a competitive industry. This internship allowed be to be involved in the decision making process of a new club.

  4. I gave the Traditions Club internship program 5 stars. I feel that I have learned many skills necessary to make me a more marketable candidate for employment. The management and ownership is dedicated to making Traditions Club one of the best courses.

Internship Objectives • Taking call for inquiries that come in about potential tournaments • Coordinating all function planning in order to ensure a smother operation of the event. • Working with the staff to coordinate the needs for the event • Managing and executing all aspects of the function the day of the event. Working with the client and staff to make sure all needs are surpassed. • Setting up the billing for the events after completion. Making sure all staff is compensated appropriately • Coordinating with the client to set up needs for the following year. .

  6. A Day in the Life… • Being an Event Coordinator requires a very wide range of duties. Everyday I come to work, I never know what might be in store for me that day. The Country Club industry is very dynamic. On a normal day I spend time working on my event contracts. Throughout the day, I field calls about potential events and also check on any outstanding invoices. I work with the golf department on any tournament needs and work with the F&B department on food or beverage needs. On days when I have events, I spend a majority of my time with the event making sure that the clients expectations are being met and also that the club’s expectations are maintained.

Acie Law Foundation Golf Tournament • June 22, 2009 • Charity Golf Tournament Benefitting the Acie Law Foundation • 48 golfers including Acie Law IV, DeAndre Jordan, Jason Terry, Antoine Wright, and more! • I was in charge of booking, planning, managing, executing and billing this event from start to finish.
