AUDITOR GENERAL DE LA REPÚBLICA • De conformidad con lo dispuesto en el artículo 274 de la Constitución Política, el Auditor General de la República será elegido para un periodo de dos años por el Consejo de Estado, de terna presentada por la Corte Suprema de Justicia. La persona designada deberá ser profesional en ciencias económicas, contables, jurídicas, financieras o de administración. • De conformidad con lo establecido en el artículo 35 de la ley 270 de 1996, corresponde a la Sala Plena del Consejo de Estado proveer las faltas temporales o absolutas del Auditor General de la República.

  5. LAURA EMILCE MARULANDA TOBÓN Especialista en Derecho Administrativo y en Gerencia Pública, y magíster en Derecho del programa en Gobierno de la Universidad Externado de Colombia. Desempeñó cargo como asesora del despacho del Contralor General de la República, fue contralora delegada para la Gestión Pública e Instituciones Financieras de la Contraloría General de la República, se desempeñó como secretaria general de la Contraloría de Medellín, fuéauditora de la Contraloría General de Antioquia y contralora municipal de Itagüí.
