  1. How the IT System of the Humanoid Robots Works Mohanad Abdallah and Nabil Elassi

  2. About the Robots • These robots are designed to act like humans, while performing sports, in the robot Olympics. • Some of these sports are gymnastics, weight lifting, football, dancing, drumming, volleyball, and boxing. • And some helpful events such as medical treatment and cleaning. • There are a total of 16 different events. • It costs no more than thousands of dollars to make. • they are made to resemble humans, they have faces, 2 legs, and 2 hands.

  3. What's the difference? • self-maintenance (i.e. recharging itself) • autonomous learning • safe interacting with human beings and the environment • Humanoid robots are created to imitate some of the same physical and mental tasks that humans undergo daily. • understand the human body's biological and mental processes.

  4. What’s the Purpose • Many of theses robots were created for competitions and winning money, but some were for companionship, and for security. • What's the initial aim? • Why are they useful in the future?

  5. Planning + Control • The movement of the robot has to be human like, unlike any machine-like robot. • Humanoid robots move and gather information by using sensors. • Humanoid robots require a zero moment point to stabilize movement.

  6. Sensors • A device that measures a physical quantity and converts it into a signal which can be read by an instrument. • Two types of sensors in a robot: • Proprioceptivesensors • Exteroceptivesensors: - Contact Sensors - Range Sensors - Vision Sensors

  7. Actuators • The actuators are the motors responsible for the movement of the robot to act like humanoids. • Act like joints and muscles. • They can be either: • Pneumatic • Electric and Hydraulic • Piezoelectric • Ultrasonic

  8. TimeLine of Creation • This slide is pointless, look at the website again, we can’t put anything for this… peace 
