The private equity management firm was founded in 2015 by Afsane and her partners, Richard Parsons and Ronald Lauder.   2. Co-Founder Afsane Jetha is the Co-Founder, Managing Partner & CEO of Alta Semper Capital. The private equity manager was founded in 2015 to invest flexible, strategic capital throughout selected growth markets. The firm focuses on the consumer and healthcare sectors. Recently, the firm has invested in retail pharmacy, health tech, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and cancer care in Nigeria, Morocco, Kenya, Egypt, and more recently Pakistan.

Under Afsane’s leadership, the firm continues to expand its investments, currently focusing on retail pharmacy and cancer care in Egypt, Morocco, Nigeria, Kenya, and Pakistan.

She has worked for GI Partners, Merrill Lynch, Wasserstein Private Equity, and Permira in London. Afsane speaks Gujarati and French and is a fourth- generation Tanzanian. She holds her MBA from Harvard Business School.

  6. Financial Groups Afsane Jetha has worked with several private equities and financial groups including GI Partners, Merrill Lynch, and Wasserstein Private Equity. She was a member of the consumer team at Permira in London as well. Afsane holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. The firm is an active supporter of several philanthropic organizations like AMREF Africa and Girl Code.
