MONITORING AND EVALUATION 1. National Level • A. An Apex Committee on Agriculture for Eastern India has also been constituted under the Chairmanship of Hon’ble Prime Minister • ( to ensure coordinated delivery of services to the farmers in the seven Eastern States and provide necessary impetus to the on-going efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture under BGREI and other programmes and schemes aiding agricultural development in the region) • B. Central Steering Committee (CSC) under the Chairmanship of Secretary (A&C) 2. State level • State Level Monitoring Team (SLMT) for each state under the Chairmanship of an Additional Secretary/Joint Secretary of the Department of Agriculture 3.District level • District Level Monitoring Teams (DLMT) headed by District Agriculture Officer 4. Research Institute- CRRI is the nodal agency for monitoring the programme. (a scientist of ICAR/SAU is allotted for each district for extending technical backstopping and monitoring )
