Nanotechnology • Nanotechnology is any kind of technology on the nano scale. It doesn’t have to be robot or made out of one particular material. It is the next great achievement in science and technology. Previous Slide Next Slide
What isNanotechnology? • Nanotechnology- Structures that are or below 100 nanometers in size. 2007. www.fda.govWeb. 25 Feb 2013. <http://www.fda.gov/ScienceResearch/SpecialTopics/Nanotechnology/ucm153723.htm> Previous Slide Next Slide
Nanotechnology Transhumanistlibraian, . Nanotechnology..... the Most Impoertant Aspect of Transhumanism Moving Forward. 2012. Wordpress.comWeb. 25 Feb 2013. • Any kind of technology on a super small scale • Nanometer= 1/ 1 billionth of a meter • Anything that improves a process, procedure, or production • Can be made of any material • Polymer Previous Slide Next Slide
Our grand challenge • Engineer the tools of scientific discovery • Space Exploration • Radiation Previous Slide Next Slide
Three Types Of RadiationAnd their effects on the human Health Cosmic Radiation Ultra Violet Energetic Particles High energy charged particles Immediate Exposure doesn’t cause much damage to Prolonged Exposure can cause things such as Cancer Alzheimer's Brain Decay Nervous System Damage Radiation from the sun Sunburns(1st 2nd 3rd degree burns) Prolonged Exposure can lead to Cancer Short Lived Effect Very Deadly Avoided In Bunker or Sufficient Shielding Instant Death will occur if hit with the radiation full force Previous Slide Next Slide
Our Major Problem • Cosmic Radiation is our biggest problem • The long-lasting effects • The constant degrading of the brain • Hard to block cosmic radiation *The robot will also block the other kinds of radiation as well* Next Slide Previous Slide
Our Nanobot • Will Block Radiation • Will be safe and stable • Solar Powered Previous Slide Next Slide

How It Works Spinning liquid inside The Nanobot uses a liquidized form of iron and a radiation blocking compound that when spun around in a ovular container, creates a intangible, invisible field that blocks radiation by the compound characteristics itself. The iron creates the shield while the other compound is merged with the shield making the shield radiation proof. Previous Slide Next Slide

The Parts • Ovular Compound Containment Unit • Holds Iron, Radiation Blocking Liquid • Almost frictionless inside to efficiently circulate the liquid compound • Support Bars • Keeps the OCCU completely stationary • Solar Panel • Carbon Nanotube Shell • Provides the energy to circulate the radiation-blocking compound • Keeps the inside parts of the Nanobot safe from outside harm and keeps anything from leaking out in case of leak • Regulator • Regulates the speed at which the Compound rotates Previous Slide Next Slide
What Will This Nanobot Be Used IN? • Spacesuits • Plating for Spaceships • Shelters • Buildings in Space • Space Stations Previous Slide Next Slide
But wait There’s More! • Doesn’t have to involve just space exploration • Used here on Earth • Sunscreen • Medicines • The possibilities are endless! Previous Slide Next Slide
