  5. High School Graduation Requirements • 220 total credits in the required subjects. An average of 60 credits per year. • Six semesters of excellent or satisfactory citizenship marks • Students also need to pass the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE).

  6. Graduation Requirements • English 40 credits • Social Science 30 credits including: World History 10; US History 10; Govt/Econ 10 • Mathematics 20 credits: Algebra 1 minimum • Science 20 credits (physical and biological) • Health 5 credits • Foreign Language/ V P Arts 10 credits • Physical Education 20 credits

  7. Honors Courses • Open enrollment policy • current grades and teacher recommendations should be considered • Number of Honors courses to take • Application and Commitment Forms required

  8. Aim For A Balanced Program • Allow for a period of adjustment • Manageable schedule • Athletics and activities require extra hours • Honors courses demand extra study hours

  9. SCHEDULING • Bert Lynn Middle School • April 18th and 19th • Jefferson Middle School • April 25th and 26th • Private and non-feeder schools • Enrollment packets available starting March 26th. Turn in completed forms by the end of April in order to meet with a Counselor in May. • Limited appointments available in May • Latecomers will meet with counselor mid-August

Enrollment Procedures for New TUSD Students • TWO CURRENToriginal utility bills • Birth Certificate/Passport • Parent Picture ID • Transcripts or report cards from 8th Grade • Immunization Records (Tdap Booster) • Student/Parent will be scheduled to meet with a Counselor in May to select courses
