  3. He began as a Painter • Soon switching to dress design • At 21 got married and had 4 kids Vidal Sassoon - 1969

  4. 1953, he worked at Susan Small Dresses • He was assistant designer • He was offered many jobs, but refused them. John Lennon - 1965

  5. 1955, he began freelancing for Harper’s Bazaar • This brought him to photography • He urged to be a photographers assistant Michael Caine - 1964

  6. Worked: -Carlton studios -Cosmopolitan Artists • Became assistant photographer for Adrian Flowers Jean Shrimpton - 1963

  7. 1957 - 1963 • He worked with top models • Worked with David Bailey and Terence Donovan • By British press they were “Terrible Three” • Brian Duffy, “Before 1960, a fashion photographer was tall, thin and camp. But we three are different: short, fat and heterosexual!”

  8. He worked in magazines and newspapers • 1967, he made a film production company • He partnered with Len Deighton • It was called: Deighton Duffy • 1979, he gave up photography

  9. 1983, he directed a music video ( Spandau Ballet's "Gold“ ) • In 2009 he returned to photography • He shot pictures of the same people from the 60’s and 70’s. • He died May 31st 2010 from degenerative lung disease
