Cloud • Etablering av en arbeidsgruppe som jobber med cloud i 2011, allokering av arbeidsmåneder per person/site • Rollefordeling per deltaker (computing, storage, ...) • Valg av relevante pilotbrukere (life sciences, lingvistikk, kjemi) • Etablering av brukerstøtteapparat for skytjenester i Metasenteret • Kvotehåndtering (Sigma har en multi-user account som kan benyttes av alle deltakere) • Workshop for brukere på NOTUR2011 konferansen 25. mai, åpent seminar • Workshop for spesifikke brukergrupper i 2H2011
Cloud Tidsplan: • Medio april: Innspill fra sentre (+ brukere) • 1. mai prosjektplan for mai-desember (commitments/people) • 25. mai: cloud workshop, invitasjon til alle som er involvert. • 1. juli computing + personal storage • 1. oktober: sustainable user support struktur
Status NDGF / Tier-1 / EGI - 10 Gbit/s (still) being established CPH - UiO and UiO – UiB - March 15: Application for Tier-1 from 2009 resubmitted. - NDGF: 2011-2015 - 2011: transtion to legal entity - Investigation of new user communities - EGI-InSPIRE has slow start. Efforts needs to ramp up. - Seven Norwegian consortia submitted bids to host CERN Tier-0
Status Nordic HPC system Five organizations expressed interest to host Nordic HPC system: Three full bids were received in December: • University of Oslo, Lefdal Gruve • Iceland University, Thor DC • Linkoping University Contract negotiations with Iceland. Signature April 11 Norwegian funding: 2 Mkr
