Legal Entity: The Halaal Foundation is a non-profit organization incorporated as non-profit limited company under section 42 of Companies Ordinance 1984 of Pakistan
Motto Striving for a Haraam-free Society
Goals & Objectives • To take the responsibility of developing and harmonizing Shariah standards, creating Halaal awareness, in modern day to day terms; • To initiate and administer Shariah based Research and Development process in all food and non-food categories of products and services; • To establish an institute of professional education and training for Shariah Scholars in Halaal standardization, research and development and for the orientation of scientific & technological laboratory process, analysis and certifications;
Goals & Objectives • 4) To develop an interactive website containing audio / video streaming and live inter-action with Shariah experts. The media network may be extended to introduce internet TV channel followed by a full-fledged satellite TV Channel for a wide-range reach of Shariah-based Halaal pursuits; • 5) To bring out a monthly professional publication; • 6) To activate a round the clock help-line service further enhanced to introduce a "call centre service" globally. The help line and call centre would be introduced gradually.
Board of Directors: 7 members including Shariah Experts & Business men determined to serve the Muslim Ummah in the Field of Halaal industry as per national & international standards governed by the Shariah teachings
Expert Panels: • Shariah Experts panel: More than 50 well-known & highly-esteemed Muftian Kiram (Shariah experts) from all over the country are on the panel. • Technical Experts Panel:Well-reputed Food scientists, Food technologists, Veterinary doctors, traders, industrialists and lawyers from all over the country are on the panel.
Shariah Supervisory Board: Since the Halaal Foundation believes _ and maintains as part of its policies _ that deciding whether something is Halaal or Haraam is a very sensitive issue, all of its policies & activities are vigilantly monitored and supervised by a “Shariah Supervisory Board” which consists of renowned Shariah experts (Muftian Kiraam).

Personnel’s Qualifications: • Alhamdulillah,all the members involved in the operational activities of the Halaal Foundation are highly qualified and duly trained to fulfill their respective duties. For example, members of the Shariah department • hold “Aalim” & “Mufti” degrees; • hold university degrees(i.e.at least graduation while some holding masters degrees as well);
Personnel’s Qualifications: • visited South Africa to get fully trained in the field of “Halaal” by SANHA (South African National Halal Authority), a well-reputed international halal certification body; • hold HLAT (Halal Lead Auditor Training) certificate granted by IHI Alliance (International Halal Integrity Alliance), based in Malaysia; and • hold Training Certificate on Halaal issued by PSQCA.
