Holidays They have four different names for Christmas in Switzerland and believe in Christ Kind instead of Santa Claus. Some people wait until January to open their presents from Christmas.
City life and Country life • Zurich is the largest city with almost one million people in it. • The capital of Switzerland is Bern. • Many people ride in street cars and trains instead of cars.
Interesting Facts • More than half of people in Switzerland work in some kind of service for other people. • Many of Switzerland’s food comes from Germany, France, and Italy. • Switzerland has immigrants from other areas, too.
