  3. Science Folder You should keep all papers in your science folder or notebook section. Homework Checked homework Graded papers, quizzes, tests ORQ, etc.

  4. Science Folder You should keep all papers in your science folder. You need to keep up with all your work for the quarter. You may clean out your folder once you have your report card and don’t have any questions about your grade.

  5. Papers Paper Heading All papers MUST have your: FIRST and LAST NAME (highlight before you turn in!) DATE SCIENCE PERIOD

  6. Papers When papers are handed out to complete, it is your responsibility to make sure you get all papers. If you do NOT receive one you should raise your hand and ask for one. Don’t leave the room without getting the assignments, worksheets, handouts etc. Don’t tell me you didn’t get one when it comes time to turn them in or check them in class. It is too late at that point!

  7. Papers The FIRST thing you should do when you get an assignment is put your FIRST and LAST NAME DATE SCIENCE PERIOD on your paper!!!

  8. When entering the room: Go to your seat. Take out your agenda and write the assignment down for the day. If there is a bell ringer complete that and then get out any homework from the night before.

  9. When absent: Check the agenda on the chalk board and write down the assignments for the day(s) you missed. You could also check the website http://www.warrencountyschools.org/olc/page.aspx?id=10454&s=1533 Pick up any missed papers in the absent box.

  10. When absent: You may check my website to find out your assignments before you return to school. Completing the assignments before you come to school will keep you from getting behind.

  11. When we have labs: You will need only a pencil and a lab sheet. Place all books under bulletin board touching the wall or under the active board.

  12. When we have labs: Use science vocabulary that we are trying to learn during the lab. You should use these terms to help reinforce the concepts for yourself and other group members.

  13. When we have labs: Don’t touch any materials on the lab tables until given directions. After the lab be sure to return all materials as they were when you began.

  14. When we have labs: Before leaving clean up your area and throw away all paper towels! Don’t leave them on the table, floor, or in the sink.

  15. Using classroom supplies: If you use colored pencils, markers, crayons, scissors, glue, glue sticks, rulers, etc. please be kind enough to return them to the correct places. Not doing so could result in a write up, not being allowed to use them or both.

  16. General Rules Please sharpen pencils at the beginning of class. If you need to sharpen your pencil while the teacher is talking then raise your hand and ask first.

  17. General Rules Please wait to go to the trashcan or use the hole puncher at the end of class when the teacher is not giving instructions or teaching.

  18. Assignments Turn in all assignments when they are collected in class. If you don’t turn it in at that time it will be considered late and result in a lower grade.

  19. Assignments When turning in papers pass them to the right and then forward from the end of the row. Also it makes it easier on me if you will neatly place your paper in the pile facing the same direction as the one on the top of the stack. Thanks for paying attention to this! It helps me a great deal!!

  20. Late Work Late assignments will have a penalty and will not receive full credit.

  21. Test Ticket You may earn Test Ticket by completely filling in your agenda each day. **“No homework” does not count for an entry by itself.

  22. Test Tickets You may use Test tickets as extra credit on quizzes or tests. They must be turned in when you turn in the test or quiz. Just lay them on top of your quiz or scantron. DON’T ever staple them to the scantron!

  23. TESTS AND QUIZZES • Don’t leave the class with a test or quiz. • ABSOLUTELY NO talking during a test or quiz. This can result in a zero.
