NEREUS – Round Table GMES/Earth ObservationToulouse, 8 May 2010 Objectives* to meet business and policy needs on Earth Observation (EO) data and information services at regional level * to be info source to GMES/EC level (mainly driven by national interests) * to sketch ‘clusters’ of regional needs for market development and interregional cooperation * to identify areas were capacities are mature/need further support

NEREUS – Round Table GMES/Earth ObservationToulouse, 8 May 2010 Azores meeting (May, 2009) Sub-group “Land”: all regions participating were required to autonomously list their INTERESTS with respect to GMES downstream services that could be built on top of the ‘land’ core services, in particular to the Corine maps

NEREUS – Round Table GMES/Earth ObservationToulouse, 8 May 2010 Azores meeting (May, 2009) Leicester(Sept, 2009) Bruxelles(Jan, 2010) Adding capacities of the ASSOCIATES: Table divided in two parts: Part 1 summary of the interests of the Regions mapped against the products of Geoland2 plus additional themes proposed. Part 2 summary of the activities of the Associates mapped against the products of Geoland2 plus additional themes proposed.

(Geoland2? GIO? What else?) The more: Can policy makers match their interests with these products? Can enterprises (SMEs) match their capacities with respect those core services?

Such as the publication “25 uses of GMES in the NEREUS regions” .... Such as observatories of services .... Such as education tools/events/workshops ... Meeting with GMES Officer: which are the best GMES products/services to be used as references for ‘land’ interests/capacities? (Geoland2? GIO? What else?) Are GMES products/services the best cathegories to let policy makers/enterprises (SMEs) express their interests/capacities?
