Three Measures for the PBC require documentation in GA SHINES Additionally, RBWO Minimum Standard 6.19 requires that all Every Child Every Month contacts be documented in GA SHINES.
The Three PBC Measures Provider Every Child Every Month Visit- percent of children with whom the provider makes a purposeful monthly contact and documents it via the Provider Portal into SHINES. Permanency Contacts- percent of children receiving provider supported contact between child and parent and child and a sibling which support the DFCS permanency plan. Contacts are documented via Provider Portal into SHINES. Bonus Measure: Father Engagement— percent of children who receive provider supported contacts with their father’s who have a DFCS case plan. Contacts are documented via the Provider Portal into SHINES.
Once you access the correct child record via the SHINES Portal, the keys to receiving proper PBC credit are… • Checking the correct boxes for “Purpose” and “Principals/Collateral Contacted”.
For Every Child Every Month (ECEM) Contacts X Purpose: • Case Manager Child Visit Principals/Collateral Contact: Check as many boxes as apply in regards to any person who was “contacted”, “discussed” or with whom you had a “private conversation” during the visit. X
For Child/Parent Contacts X Purpose: • Parent Child Visit Principals/Collateral Contact: Check as many boxes as apply in regards to any person who was “contacted”, “discussed” or with whom you had a “private conversation” during the visit. X
For Sibling Contacts X Purpose: • Sibling Visit Principals/Collateral Contact: Check as many boxes as apply in regards to any person who was “contacted”, “discussed” or with whom you had a “private conversation” during the visit. X
Bonus Measure: Father/Child Contacts X Purpose: • Parent Child Visit Principals/Collateral Contact: 1st-Check “Contacted” for the child’s father (with whom the child visited/contacted) 2nd- Check as many other boxes as apply in regards to any person who was “contacted”, “discussed” or with whom you had a “private conversation” during the visit. X
Bonus Measure: Father Engagement Notes • There is a generalmeasure for Parent-Child visits and also the bonus measure for Father-Child visits. The first Parent-Child visit for the month will be credited to the generalmeasure whether or not a father was present. The bonus can be earned after the first Parent-Child visit for the month is met and then an additional visit specifically with the father is accomplished. • The father must be listed in the “Collaterals/Contact” section in order to receive the bonus credit. • The DFCS CM must update this list if a father is not listed.
Permanency Contacts Don’t forget to fill out this screen in GA Score. Requirements for Permanency Contacts between a child and parent or child and sibling are indicated by providers on the Family screen in GA+SCORE.
