What is pellagra • Vitamin deficiency disorder • Caused by lack of niacin (B3) or tryptophan • Symptoms • High sensitivity to sunlight • Dermatitis, alopecia, oedema • Smooth, beefy red glossitis, skin lesions • Insomnia • Weakness • Mental confusion • Ataxia, paralysis of extremities, peripheral neuritis • Diarrhea
