Pellagra is caused by deficiency of niacine (B3)It occurs in people who are eating corn as a stable food .Goldberger established in 1926 that a balanced diet or small amount of baker’s yeast prevented pellagra.. Later , it was established that niacine (B3) cure pellagra in humans .The important source of niacine in our food are: meat, poultry, fish, milk, egg, dairy products, yeast, sunflower seeds, fresh vegetables..
