General Outcome 1: Personal Choices • Students will apply an understanding of the emotional/psychological, intellectual, social, spiritual and physical dimensions of health— and the dynamic interplay of these factors—in managing personal well-being.
What contributes to your personal well-being? • State of Mind • Stressors • Lifestyle choices • Health • Wellness • Mental state
What is the nature of well-being? • Class will divide into 5 groups each group will read a given article and prepare a presentation using one of the following methods. • Prezi • PowerPoint • Word Document • Publisher Document
Criteria for Presentation • Summarizes the article 1 2 3 4 5 • Presents clearly 1 2 3 4 5 • Answers questions 1 2 3 4 5 • All group members participated 1 2 3 4 5 • Discusses themes on well-being 1 2 3 4 5
Okay… So what do I need to do? • Read the article • Summarize it • Use pictures to make it interesting • Explain what effect the article has on personal well being • Answer Question: Why is this a significant article?
