Three Tiers (Backbone Of The Work Force) (Frontline Supervisors/Highly Skilled Technicians) (Managers – Anything & Everything) • Airman Tier: AB – AMN – A1C – SRA - Apprentice, Worker, Journeyman • NCO Tier: SSGT – TSGT - Craftsman, Supervisor • SNCO Tier: MSGT – SMSGT – CMSGT - Craftsman, Supervisor, Manager and Superintendent
Enlisted Leadership Levels • Three levels: - Tactical: • Operational: - Strategic: step-by-step nuts and bolts action “Getting Your Hands Dirty” day-to-day operational approach “Telling You How To Get Dirty” the big picture plan (future) “Why You Will Be Getting Dirty”

Airman Tier Responsibilities • Accept/execute all duties, instructions responsibilities & lawful orders in a timely manner • Be an effective follower • Place duties & responsibilities ahead of personal gains/desires • Issue lawful orders to Airmen junior to you to accomplish the mission • Maintain highest level of personal readiness to meet Air and Space Expeditionary Force mission requirements • Accept/execute all duties, instructions responsibilities & lawful orders in a timely manner (FOLLOW ORDERS) • Be an effective follower(FOLLOWERSHIP) • Place duties & responsibilities ahead of personal gains/desires(CORE VALUES) • Issue lawful orders to Airmen junior to you to accomplish the mission (CHAIN OF COMMAND) • Maintain highest level of personal readiness to meet Air and Space Expeditionary Force mission requirements (KNOW\LEARN YOUR JOB\PT)

Specific Airman Responsibilities • Airman: - Still in a learning capacity - Expected to understand/conform -- military standards -- customs & courtesies - Must maintain OJT & Upgrade Requirements - Gained some job proficiency at basic tasks - Requires significant supervision and support
Specific Airman Responsibilities • Airman First Class: - Continued Mentorship To Grow Technically & Professionally -Fully Comply With Air Force Standards - Devote Efforts To Mastering AFSC Skills (5 Lvl) - Effective Team Member
Specific Airman Responsibilities • Senior Airman: -Used as a skilled technician and trainer - Begin developing supervisory and leadership skills through: - OJT / Mentoring - PME - CCAF - Become an effective first line supervisor - Operate at the tactical level
