  3. I Won’t Give Up Because… • God is with me in my pain “But the Lord was with Joseph” (v2,21,23) “and extended kindness to him” = loyal love

  4. Matthew 28:20 • “…and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

  5. Hebrews 13:5–6 …He Himself has said, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,” so that we confidently say, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid…”

  6. I Won’t Give Up Because… • God is with me in my pain • Suffering alone can ruin you. • But suffering + confidence in the presence of God can make you great.

  7. I Won’t Give Up Because… • God is with me in my pain • God has a greater purpose for my pain • Genesis 50:20 • As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive…

  8. I Won’t Give Up Because… • God is with me in my pain • God has a greater purpose for my pain • Romans 8:28 • And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

  13. Ephesians 5:2 …live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

  14. Hebrews 2:18 For since He Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted.
