Emergency Physician/Nursing, Allied Health Shortage • $1,000,000 – to the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center for the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine School of Community Medicine in Tulsa. • $1,000,000 – to the Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences for the College of Osteopathic Medicine. • $2,000,000 – to Regional and Two-Year Colleges for the enhancement of academic programs and scholarships in nursing, general education in health professionals, pre-med, and allied health and health care services on campus.

Legislative Agenda – Concealed Weapons • The State Regents, all 25 institutions, and all governing boards believe that there is no scenario where placing guns on campuses will do anything other than create a more dangerous environment for our students and faculty on campus. • In past four legislative sessions, legislation has been introduced or discussed that would allow certain students to carry concealed weapons onto college property we have successfully defeated the legislation to date. • It will continue to be a priority of the system to ensure this legislation is not law.
