  1. Dear Parents, As we kick off the Kindergarten year and start full days this week, we would like to tell you about Quiet Corner. Each full day of school (Monday – Thursday), we will be having something called Quiet Corner. It is a quiet time for 15-20 minutes after afternoon recess when the students can have some down time. It is not naptime and they do not have to sleep, but they are quiet and resting their little brains. We have found that after having this, they are much more ready for the second part of the day. We would like to ask that you send your child in with their favorite SMALL towel or blanket to define their spot on the rug for this quiet time. We will send home blankets on Fridays to be washed and ask you to return them on the following Monday. Please write your child’s name on it so it doesn’t get lost or confused with someone else’s.
