  5. Some things to remember: Present Simple • Present simple doesn’t mean it’s happening now. • It is a daily habit or a usual activity.

  6. X X X X X Some things to remember: Present Simple Mie studies every day. She doesn’t goof off! s ‘Goof off’ is slang. It means ‘waste time’ or ‘avoid doing work.’

  7. Some things to remember: Present Progressive • If you want to say ‘it’s happening now’, use the present progressive. • Progressive means ‘in progress.’ • be + V-ing

Some things to remember: Past Simple • Past simple means it began and ended at a specific time in the past. • Usually we know ‘when.’ • V-ed(…but there are many irregular verbs.) go- went build - built fall - fell know - knew come - came stand - stood fly - flew feel - felt throw - threw go- build- fall- know- come- stand- fly- feel- throw- etc.
