Animals Can’t TalkRescue and Adoption, Inc. Annual Report 2010/2011
Get to Know Us! • We are Animals Can’t Talk Rescue and Adoption Inc. Thank you for your interest in our non-profit organization. In this presentation we will try to give you an overview of who we are and what we have accomplished this past year. We are a 501c-3 rescue. We strive to save as many unwanted, abused, neglected and lost animals as possible. • Our focus is to find each and every one a good home. • All are veterinarian checked, inoculated, treated (when necessary), spayed and neutered (our primary thrust) and cared for until adopted.
We House Our Rescue Animals in PetSmart located in Stroudsburg, PA Every Saturday, our President, Naomi Gauntlett and her volunteers hold adoptions at PetSmart. Every person working for the rescue is a volunteer, so all money donated to ACT is strictly used for the animals.
Re-Home Program Currently, ACT does not house dogs. If a customer wishes to adopt a dog, we can search high kill shelters and hopefully find their new companion. However, we have started a new program where we offer assistance to those who need to re-home so the dogs don’t end up in shelters.
Fundraisers • Wal-Mart • Bingo • Low Cost Vaccination Clinic • Texas Roadhouse Dinner • Adopt A Stray Day • Community Day • Fashion Show • Bon Ton Coupon Book To subsidize our costs, we hold various fundraisers in our community. We regularly set up a donation area in front of Wal-Mart, held a Basket Bingo, two Low Cost Vaccination Clinics (one with a Dog Fashion Show directly afterwards), had a dinner at Texas Roadhouse Steakhouse, held two Adopt A Stray Days, participated in a Community Day, and Sold Bon Ton Coupon Books.
Memberships, and Sponsors • Member of • iGive • PIBCO • Mayor’s Alliance • GuideStar • Sponsors • Maddie’s Fund • Purina Pro Plan • The Pedigree Foundation • PetSmart Charities • ACT is a member of iGive, an online search engine that donates a portion of the proceeds to charity. Our animals are featured on PIBCO, an online broadcasting company. • ACT also pulls animals from high kill shelters in NYC, and is a member of the Mayor’s Alliance. • We recently added our organization to GuideStar, an online site that connects non-profit organizations with contributors. Our Sponsors really make all this work possible. The assistance they provide keeps our companion animals alive and well…ready for a new home.
Our Contributors keep us moving forward to help the animals in need to find homes. It is through their generosity that we have continued to grow and make a difference in our community.
