Background • 2009 • Report of Academic Counselling and Personal Development Planning • Feb/Mar 2010 • Senate Working Group on Academic Counselling and Personal Development Planning • Sept 2010 • Framework of minimum requirements and use of the term Personal Development Advising “Senate resolved to approve its introduction from 2010-11.”
Framework • 1st year: • 3 meetings – settling in, reflect on performance and preparation for moving on • 2nd and 3rd years: • 2 meetings per year – reflect on previous year’s performance and reflect on this year’s performance • 4th/Final year: • 1 meeting – developmental feedback/readiness for exams/transition out
