  1. Natural Glutenfree Diet | Glutenfree-Restaurant.com Have you ever asked yourself what is a gluten-free diet? Most people always confuse gluten-free diets with weight loss diets. A gluten-free diet is a type of die where a person completely excludes the protein gluten is naturally found in grains e.g. wheat, barley etc. The primary purpose of a glutenfree diet is to treat people suffering from celiac disease, an autoimmune disorder that causes damage to the small intestines whenever one ingests gluten. Celiac disease is genetic hence can run in families. However, non-celiac people may benefit from a glutenfree diet as this will help then with a healthier lifestyle and avoid certain chronical diseases. Apart from celiacs, there are other categories of people who are advised to practice a gluten-free diet. But all this require the assistance and guidance of a doctor or dietitian. Some of these people suffer from the following conditions. Gluten intolerance – their symptoms are similar to those of the celiac the only difference is that they don’t experience intentional damage. Gluten intolerances may be caused by other foods, not just the ones that contain gluten. Wheat allergies – this where one has reactions whenever they come into contact with wheat. These reactions differ, they can either be mild reactions e.g. hives or serious reactions e.g. anaphylaxis What to avoid Celiac people are advised to avoid food and drinks that contain: Rye Triticale Wheat Barley

  2. Meaning you should avoid; bread, beer, cereals, pasta, cakes, candies etc. unless certified to be gluten- free Gluten-free alternatives Although there is a restriction when one is on a glutenfree diet, there are still some grains, starch, and flour that are naturally gluten-free and can be consumed by people on this diet. They are: Corn Coconut flour Millet Potato flour Guar gum Soy flour Potatoes Rice Sorghum Quinoa Pea flour The list is not exclusive as there are many gluten-free alternatives out there. All you have to gather more information about every product to know if they are gluten-free or not also confirm that the product is certified by a third party to be gluten-free. Cause research indicates that almost all grains have high chances of cross-contamination as they are grown, stored, milled and processed with or next to gluten- containing grains. this comes about when gluten-free grains touches gluten-containing grains. A glutenfree diet also allows you to consume other natural gluten-free food like; meat, fish, fruits, vegetables, rice, potatoes and lentils. Can I take Oats? Doctors and dietitians have advised that one should avoid oats unless they as labeled gluten-free. This because they are contaminated with wheat during the growing and manufacturing processes of production. They also argue that, although oats are naturally gluten- free, some celiacs react to oats even if they are not contaminated. They contain a protein that triggers the same effects as gluten. Before starting any diet, you are advised to consult your medical practitioner mostly your dietitian. The same applies to a glutenfree diet, as it is the most complex diet and mistakes can happen at any time. You are also advised to combine gluten-free diet and a balanced diet so as to ensure a healthier lifestyle. For More Information Please Visit At: https://glutenfree-restaurant.com/img_1155/
