  1. 2 Key Dates for Implementation • December 2009: Member States release their “forecast documents” • The Challenge is to have all the documents in time showing that each Member State is ready -through its national contribution - to ensure that the EU reaches its collective target of 20% renewable energy by 2020. • 30 June 2010: Member States notify the Commission of their national action plans. • The Challenge is to have by June 2010 comprehensive action plans tapping the best potential of each country through best practices and workable proposals.
