Our Daily BreadLife without the Bread of Life is no life at all
Forgive us Our DebtsOur ability to forgive is evidence of God’s grace in our heart.
Lead Us Not Into TemptationWe are forgiven, But Not Completed
AmenSaying Amen is the first step in living your “yes life” now.
Translated as “Verily” in the NTOften defined as “So be it.”
Matthew 5:3737 All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.[a]All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.
So, saying “Amen” is also another way way of saying an emphatic “Yes!”
The (ahem) Westminster Divines“In testimony of our desire and assurance to be heard we say ‘Amen.’”
Christ is the AMEN, the one causing the prayer to come to pass, the one adding “YES!” to your prayer.
Revelation 3:1414 “To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God’s creation.
If Christ is going to the be the Amen, the one who says “let it be...” We need to say “Yes!” to him first
When we say it at the end of the Lord’s Prayer what happens....
We add our voices to the voices of those who have said “Yes!” to Christ.
“It is a little word, but it takes a dedicated life to exhaust it’s meaning.”
The effects of negativism and negative thinking are far too evident in the Christian church.
We need some Amen people ready to live their “yes life” now.
When we say “Amen” we are saying what the world needs to hear.
