Survey • Use it for creating polls, collect opinions or personal information, share questionnaires • Collaborative • Users fill in the survey • Time spanned • Deadline • Output: reports containing the data in the answers
Meeting • Serves as online registration for an event, storing and distributing meeting documents, collecting participants’ information • Container object • Allows access settings • Can contain other objects • Collaborative • Users can register to participate • A survey can be required for participants • Geo-localized and time-spanned • Geographical location, start/end date • Output: participants list, related documents
Meeting object – a folder • It contains subobjects • Add other objects inside a meeting • Configure accepted types of subobjects to be added • Users can subscribe to notifications • It uses permission settings • Which roles have access? • Restrict Access to participants – actually makes use of special Roles: Meeting Observer, Meeting Participant (and Meeting Waiting List).

Meeting – process flow • No – visitor/user can view, browse and download files uploaded inside the meeting • Yes – files inside the Meeting are not visible; visitor/user only sees Title, Description, Location, Period, Organizer and can download calendar file
Meeting – process flow • Yes – “Register to attend” button is available; user can register him/herself, or register somebody without an account; visitor can login or register without an account • No – nobody can register; Organizer is responsible for registering participants (Participants)
Meeting – process flow • Yes • User is automatically accepted as participant • Visitor receives a special private invitation link; using the link to access the invitation, he/she is automatically logged in as Participant • No • Organizer of the meeting needs to approve/reject the request (Applicants); • approval triggers up-mentioned actions
Meeting – process flow • No. User can view, browse and download meeting documents, see agenda, see other participants • Yes. User is prompted with the survey each time he/she tries to access the Meeting index as participant. Submitting the survey will enable meeting access just as before, in addition with the participant’s benefits.

Talkback Consultation • Good way to collect user opinions for a given document/publication draft/report draft • Collaborative • Users post comments per paragraph • Users can invite other people to comment • Time spanned • Deadline • Output: reviews for the document
Discussion Forum • Good way to engage users in discussions on given topics, define and discuss upon common methodologies, exchange messages in a shared environment etc. • Collaborative • Users open new topics, address questions/inquiries for others to see • answer the existing ones • Output • History of discussions • Can serve as an FAQ for new comers
