  2. Welcome… As team leader in Area 3 I’d like to welcome you to this clinical placement. The Outpatient Department is frequently referred to as “the window of the hospital”, being the first encounter many people have with secondary care services. Hundreds of patients pass through Area 3 on a weekly basis…teamwork is paramount in the clinic setting and I hope you will be made to feel part of our team during your placement with us. On arrival you will meet your mentor and be orientated to the department. We also have a comprehensive Student Orientation Package for you to work through with your mentor. Your hours of work will be: Monday and Thursday 830-1730 Tuesday and Wednesday 830-1700 Friday 830-1330 Looking forward to meeting you, Elaine

Post MDT Clinic (women attend for results and outcomes of the MDT meeting) Post Menopausal Bleeding Clinic (women attending this clinic may require ultrasound scan and endometrial biopsy) Fast Track Clinic (women with suspected gynaecological cancers) General Gynaecology Colposcopy Clinic (women referred with abnormal cervical screening and/or suspicious cervix Nurse Led Ring Pessary Clinic Nurse Led Post Colposcopy Smear Clinic Urogynaecology Clinic Minor Procedure Clinic
