NIPA Long-term Objectives • Facilitate a truly enterprise level architecture through the rationalization of Service architectures. • Accelerate the NCO-build schedule, minimizing the cost of building net-centric products and solutions by promoting an environment that can accommodate rapid change. • Coordinate and facilitate innovative, transformational C4 enabling technologies and services in support of the war fighter through partnerships between DoD, Services, industry, and academia. • Ensure the non-duplication of similar or redundant net-centric efforts with the full-disclosure of common standards and emerging and anticipated war fighting requirements. NIPA Conference Exit Criteria • Update JFCOM NCO industry partners on concept development and acquisition policies and procedures. • Update JFCOM NCO industry and academia partners on participatory venues. • Update COCOM and Services on industry research and initiatives, leading to product development and capability experimentation that produces competitive market advantages. • Present JFCOM case studies that focus on net-centricity and data interoperability, stimulating dialog on how respective war fighter COIs are being addressed. • Stimulate attendees’ thinking of NCO ‘best practices’ through the mutual exchange of ideas and initiatives as they relate to concept development, emerging technologies, experimentation, and transition of technologies to programs/systems of record.
