Where the Wild Things Are:Navigating the College Process College Night Class of 2014 January 22, 2013
The year Max was a junior. . . He set off through night and day and in and out of weeks and almost over a year in search of colleges in the world all round.
And he came to where the wild things are. Some were his inner wild things: Procrastination. . . Fear. . . Doubt. . .
* And some were wild things all around him. Distractions. . . Peer Pressure. . . Helicopter parents. . .
But Max said, “BE STILL !” and ruled ALL the wild things.
* Finally, Max sailed back over a year and in and out of weeks and through a day and into his very own room, where he found a letter waiting for him. “And now,” he said, “let the wild rumpus start !”
