  2. In June 30 of 2003: 1.2 million members in 31,551 Rotary clubs.  As of June 30 of 2010, 1.2 million members in 34,103Rotary clubs.  Between 2003 and 2010 (7 years) we added 2,551 Clubsyet increased our overall membership by only 226members.  Membership Facts

  3. Even more disturbing in those seven years is the fact that we inducted more than 1.1 million members into our Rotary clubs Membership Facts

  4. The number of Clubs increased but not the members accordingly.  1.2 Million members for over a decade. Membership Facts

Majority of the members who leave the club do so within 3 yrs. of their joining the club. 66% of New Rotarians leave Rotary in the first Six months of the following year According to RI research, the number one reason former Rotarians give for choosing to leave Rotary is that they didn't feel appreciated.
