January – February is dry season in Uganda Difficult navigation (GPS mandatory + must follow) Bikes need to be in good condition Small groups: On main dirt roads, drive on the LEFT side!!! Off-road because no following vehicles In Murchison for wild animals Basic comfort during camping Sleeping tents with camping beds Only cold showers

  17. Practical (Health) Malaria -> Malarone (1 day before dept. until 1 week after arrival back in BRU) Bilharzia -> parasites in the Nile and Lake Victoria, possibility of infection only if ones swims in the water (if suspected infection, tablets to be taken 3 months after return) Sun -> sunscreen with high protection factor Dehydration -> high temperatures and high humidity, drink a lot of water (camelbag, bidons, etc.)!!! Tsetse flies -> mainly on last day in the National Park. Best prevention is light-colored clothing (white) and the use of Dettol and/or Deet Hygiene -> to prevent infections, the frequent use of alcohol gels is required to disinfect the hands
