Their religion and beliefs Unlike most Pakistanis, who follow Sunni Islam, the Hazara follow the Shi’as’ Islam this is why most people frown upon them and treat them bad the only difference in their religion is the leadership difference “Sunnis argue that the Prophet chose Abu Bakr to lead the congregational prayers as he lay on his deathbed, thus suggesting that the Prophet was naming Abu Bakr as the next leader. The Shi'as' evidence is that Muhammad stood up in front of his Companions on the way back from his last Hajj, and proclaimed Ali the spiritual guide and master of all believers”.
Traditions The hazaras have many tradition for boy and girls some traditions are circumcision for young boys, weddings, and funerals, when a girl has hit puberty they have to cover the hair with a scarf and have to spend most of their time at home and they have no choice in marriage most marriages are arranged and when married they girl has to move in with her husband.
Location were they live Most hazaras live in the central region of Afghanistan their hometown is called hazarajat which is located in the mountains of Afghanistan but many hazaras have spread around the country.
Appearance “ Hazara are thought to have several affinities with the Mongols, Including physical appearance, language, and kinship system. Although the Hazara lack the characteristic epicanthic eye folds, many believe they are clearly Mongoloid” most people describe the hazaras having an appearance different than a Muslim because they are decedents of mongoloids.
clothing The clothing wore among the hazaras are called perahan-u-tunban they look mostly like pajamas “Men wear turbans, vests, overcoats, and sweaters over their perahan-u-tunbans” the women wear a lot of light colors that pop out but also have to cover their hair with a scarf.
Education Most hazaras have no education its very rare the ones that do, most have no educations because they stay at home and help their parents clean and work they don’t have time for an education that’s why most don’t know how to read but now a days they have gotten better education than before.
Employment Hazaras employment are not the best but a job is a job and they do what they can to survive and feed their families “Hazara men generally work in the fields growing crops. In Kabul, they usually have low-paying, menial jobs such as janitorial work” while the women stay at home doing work around the house and taking care of the kids and making food.
SOCIAL PROBLEMS The hazaras have many social problems mostly because of their religion and appearance. Most of Afghanistan are Sunni and they hate Shi'ite Muslims and treat them horribly. The hazaras are also very poor and have less education the others in Afghanistan.
CRAFTS AND HOBBIES Hazaras produce handmade coats, overcoats, sweaters, jackets, shoes, hats, gloves, and scarves. These are mostly made by the women and are sold in shops in Kabul and other cities
