CHEMS STATUS • 4 Counties will not be converting • Juneau > Springbrook, using AREV CHEMS for equipment history • Marathon > County wide system 9/1/12, Equipment Depreciation? • Iowa > County wide system, trouble getting reports to balance • Waukesha > County wide system, unsure of current status • Non CHEMS Counties • Washburn County inquired about CHEMSPRO / Setup a demo system
CHEMS STATUS • All CHEMS Counties • Remove AREV CHEMS when you are comfortable to do so • Recent counties should wait until after year end • Might want to keep a local copy for reference • Save a copy of the zip file you sent in ‘forever’
AREV CHEMS SUPPORT • AREV CHEMS Support Ends Today • Existing Software continues to work • No new AREV CHEMS software • CHEMSPRO support higher priority • Backup support for CHEMSPRO (Tim) • No backup support for AREV CHEMS
AREV CHEMS SUPPORT • Counties still running AREV CHEMS • Should transition ASAP, must do so by year end • Sometime After Year End • Everything AREV CHEMS I have will get tossed • You should keep a copy of your CHEMS
CHEMSPRO STATUS • Conversion Effort Almost Complete • Counties have been converted • Seems all had some issue(s) to be resolved • Some had hardware / Internet issues to resolve • Learning curve -> ‘All the same but it’s all different’ • CHEMS -> CHEMSPRO Conversion coding completed • Walworth GL Export code still pending • Larger coding issues have been resolved • Bulk of the system is in place
What’s NEXT ? • In the Near Term for You • Continue Inventory processing / year end counting • At year end, roll your inventory quantity used • A)nnual, M)ove YTD Qty Used • Run job activity update program late December • T)ools, J)obs, N)ew Activities • Wait until you hear from me to run it
What’s NEXT ? • In the Near Term for You • Run the equipment rate update program (no release) • LOS updated rates get pushed into TEST (OA08) • One or more counties will run the update on TEST (OA08) • Once OK I will give the go ahead (Community Server) • Run the T)ools, E)quipment, N)ew Rates program • After year End, Update your Work Orders active flag • T)ools, W)ork Order, A)ctive Flag

What’s NEXT ? • Vacation time in January • Tim will provide CHEMSPRO Support • I will likely be out of phone/Email range • Begin Next Phase of the Project • Fewer Releases (done with production moves) • Platform Testing / Windows 8 Support • Open Requests • DOT System Integration
What’s NEXT – PLATFORM TESTING • Platform Testing • Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 (32 & 64 bit) are all OK • Windows 8 due out end of this month • Testing on ‘90 Day Demo’ copy was good • I will validate the production release • Please Contact me prior to installing Windows 8 • I will monitor your progress for any issues
What’s NEXT – Open Requests • Open Requests / Pending Issues • Code and resolve a number of issues promised • ‘Eqp=None’ permanent resolution • Inventory (parts) history report • Currently ~150 Open requests • Many are Reporting enhancements • Defaults / Data entry handling • Review the open requests from within CHEMSPRO

VALIDATING A FIX • CHEMSPRO Release / Testing • Fix release goes to the TEST (OA08) server • Users log into TEST (OA08) and validate the fix • Most times you need the new software too • Provide feedback on the Community Server • If you made the original request… • Make an effort to test it and provide feedback • Fix goes into production two weeks later if tested / ready
