  4. Behavioral Expectations • Cell Phone use / Text messaging (ultimate disrespect) – AP issue Trabuco Hills HS • New Cell Phone policy • Automatic “0” if cell phone is taken before, during, or after a test • Food and Drink

  5. Aeries Grading System • Online grades and attendance • Parent notification is immediate • I post immediately all grades and attendance

  6. Academic Expectations • Late work = ½ credit if done fully and accurately • 3 days absence = 3 days to make-up work • NO EXTRA CREDIT OR BAILOUT AT ANY TIME

  7. Grading Scale • 89.50% - 100% = A • 79.50% - 89.49% = B • 69.50% - 79.49% = C • 59.50% - 69.49% = D • 59.49% & BELOW = F

  8. Test Drops • Perfect Attendance = 1 test drop at semester – school functions are exempt. • Zero un-excused tardies = 1 test drop • All test drops are canceled if you’re ever caught cheating on homework or testing

  9. S.S.R. • Every Thursday for 15-20 minutes will be silent, sustained reading for the class for the book reviews due each quarter.

  10. Lecture Notebook • 150 points • Looking for organization • Lecture notes, divider pages, title page…no tests or homework belong in the notebook

  11. Academic Honesty • Cheating results in an automatic zero in points • Loss of any test drop • Contact with counselor for a cheating contract to be written • Contact home to voice my concerns

  12. Homework • Rare but when given it is obviously important to complete • You will be challenged every day in class to perform and participate

  13. TESTING • Unit Exams • Comprehensive Final Exam • Test Review Sheets • Various Writing prompts

  14. MAKE-UP TESTING • Essay Format • Always a different test, and usually more difficult

  15. BATHROOM PASSES • Each student gets 4 bathroom passes per semester. • You have 4 minutes to use restroom. If you take longer you will receive 2 hours. • Each unused bathroom pass will be turned in at the end of the semester for extra credit. Five points for each bathroom pass. • Each student will receive 4 new bathroom passes next semester.
